Iggy might have had a few hits in his "career". But still most of his music is pure garbage. The only reason he ever got any attention was because he acted like a maniac in his live performances. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. The Smashing Pumpkins look like Elvis next to Iggy Pop. In my opinion, Billy Corgin is a musical genuis. Hes one hell of a guitarist and excellent writer. Hell, I've never even seen Iggy Pop play any kind of instrument except his penis.

He influenced me while taking a dump this morning. I named one of my toilet children Iggy. THERE'S some inspiration for ya.

Ugh. Brittany, people like you who reduce every statement a person makes as them being a "hater" or just "jealous" (usually misspelled as 'jelous'), makes my eye twitch. Anyhow, that said, I know maybe one or two Iggy songs, but not the names of them. All I know of Smashing Pumpkins is they have one pretty song that is rather popular, and that Billy is absolutely pathetic in hearing how he was with Emilie Autumn, who is an underrated piece of ear candy. Limp Bi--however they spelled it, yeah, they were terrible, and I know that NONE of these people are relevant in "today's" music.

Iggy"s ok,I like some of his tunes.He is right though,there"s really a lot of sub-par music out there these days.The ninety"s was,in my opinion,the last good decade music-wise...an un-ending supply of excellent music from every genre.There"s some exceptionally good bands around these days,but you have to look for them.They"re all mostly underground bands that the music critics/media pretty much ignore,and instead try to push a bunch of lame music on us devoid of any talent/creativity.

I was born in 1968 and love all kinds of music (except rap). I never relly like iggy but, I think there is some GREAT bands out now. Times change so does music.

My favorites of Iggy's are 5 foot 1 and Punkrocker, the latter song adopted from the Teddy Bears. Both are awesome. I also like several other ones, I wanna be your dog, etc. He kicks ass. I would say that what he says is on the money. Most seriously successful bands today credit him with influencing them. The person who said he doesn't have any hits has probably taken too many hits to the head...
