Having already gained mainstream exposure via prominent song placements on 'Grey's Anatomy,' Staten Island native Ingrid Michaelson is prepped to release her fourth studio album, 'Everybody,' on August 25. The follow-up to 2007's 'Girls and Boys' chronicles Michaelson's relationship woes, exemplified by the lead single 'Maybe,' a folky pop tune that sets to music the old phrase "If you love something, let it go." "I wrote 'Maybe' about 2 and a half months ago, right at the tail end of recording the album," Michaelson tells Spinner. "It was not originally slated to be part of the record. My producer threw it together in a matter of days, and it ended up being the first single!"
