Alanis Morissette, Alicia Silverstone Mock Indie Flicks, Music

Alanis Morissette and Alicia Silverstone star in an upcoming indie film featuring a road trip, a red hat, one death and a hell of a lot of hip music. OK, so maybe it's not a real movie after all. But it is a real funny spoof of just such a film, in the form of a fake trailer. It's brought to you from the same folks at Funny or Die, who introduced the world to Lindsay Lohan's fake eHarmony ad this past spring.

The sketch, or rather the real preview for the fake film, is a dead-on satire of the indie-film formula, from the title font ('Juno' anyone?) to the list of bands on the soundtrack (well, hello 'Garden State'), including Ra Ra Riot, Bright Eyes, Wilco and "the premiere of an instrumental drum track played by a kitten."

Kudos to Morissette for resurfacing on film and to Silverstone for making us laugh with her this time.
