Tegan and Sara Reveal New Album Title

In a video posted online, Tegan and Sara have announced their upcoming album title. And despite what Tegan Quin says, it will not be called 'Tunnel of Love' or 'Achtung Baby,' nor will it be a greatest hits album. It will, in fact, be called 'Sainthood.'

Due in October, 'Sainthood' will feature production by Howard Redekopp, who co-produced their 2004 album 'So Jealous,' and Death Cab for Cutie guitarist Chris Walla, as well as drumming by Death Cab's Jason McGerr. The Sisters Quin recorded the album in Sound City studios in Van Nuys, California, the same studio where such classics as Nirvana's 'Nevermind' and Weezer's 'Pinkerton' were made. In a change from their past efforts, 'Sainthood' will mark the first time Tegan and Sara composed songs together.

Check out the video for the amusing announcement and the Quins' trademark banter.
