John Oates' Mustache Fights Crime in 'J-Stache' Cartoon

It may just be the funniest premise ever. If not, it's at least going to be the zaniest thing you see today and it's brought to you by the folks at FunnyorDie.com. They win again, this time with a new animated series called 'J-Stache,' which is all about John Oates' mustache. The real John Oates portrays himself while comedian/insomniac Dave Attell does the voice of Oates' outlaw lip fur. Just like in real life, Oates is a fashion-forward '80s pop star while his mustache is a pill-popping, trash-talking crime fighter. Clearly, the two need each other even more than Oates needs Daryl Hall, his onetime musical partner from their creatively named duo, Hall and Oates.

It gets better: together, Oates and his fuzzy friend run a celebrity health spa while moonlighting as superstar vigilantes. Read all about their exploits on the J-Stache blog and be sure to check out the trailer after the jump. The series begins Tuesday at Funny or Die. Looks like crime-fighting just got a new face. Literally.
