Weezer's 1996 album 'Pinkerton' will be reissued this year. The reissue will coincide with the release of Weezer's new album. Ex-Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty has unearthed his Blue Ridge Rangers solo moniker and is releasing an album of his favorite classics on September 1. 'The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again' features guest spots by Bruce Springsteen and members of the Eagles.
Sony has bid $50 million for the rights to a film based off of footage of Michael Jackson's final rehearsals for his 'This Is It' concert series.
Bat for Lashes, Glasvegas and Kasabian have all been shortlisted for the coveted 2009 Barclaycard Mercury Prize.
