Pearl Jam, 'The Fixer' -- New Song
- Posted on Jul 22nd 2009 11:00AM by Dan Reilly
On Pearl Jam's new single, 'The Fixer,' frontman Eddie Vedder sings about making changes, and that's exactly what the band is doing. The band is releasing their ninth album, 'Backspacer' via their own means and through retail chain Target, lest we mention the musical alterations; one need only listen to 'The Fixer,' which features '80s dance tinges. But change is something the band welcomes. "There were some substantial changes in our lives," Vedder told Spinner when they stopped by our Sessions studio. "Your gut reaction is to fight a change or a change in that process. In a lot of ways it does feel like a different time and a different kind of beginning."Pearl Jam will hit the road just one day after the release of 'Backspacer' for a North American tour. Meanwhile, listen to 'The Fixer' after the jump.

I LOVE this song. I must admit I lost track of them over the years, but Ten's re-mix got me back into the game, and I'm pumped for this record.
