"I think we should level the playing field. I don't mind people stealing my music, that's fine. But I think they should steal everything." --Kid Rock
In an interview with BBC, the all-American rocker shows his apathy towards digital music piracy, taking things a step further. "You know how much money the oil companies have? If you need some gas, just go fill your tank and drive off," he adds. "They're not going to miss it."

Kind of ironic, but not surprising, coming from someone who steals so many other people's music. lol! One that stands out recently is his song that is half Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama", which in fairness he acknowledges by SPEAKING (he cannot sing) about that song, but the rest of the song is a complete rip off of Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London"...that is the whole song!! HE steals music...who the hell steals HIS music?? Who would want to, even?

He (and any other "artist") pays a royalty to "rip off" the hooks from songs from others. So Lynyrd Skynyrd gets a piece of the action..... but not if people don't pay for the music. Like the artist or not, you can't blame the guy for getting pissed when people don't pay for his product.

So it wasn't my imagination...for when I first heard his 'Alabama'...I thought it was 'Werewolves of London'...exact duplicate of the first 4 chords...and repeated throughout! No sure why Warren's estate has not sued...

I just went to see Kid Rock and you all are sooooo mistaken. He is a VERY talented singer and musician. I can honestly say out off all of the concerts I have been to his was without a doubt the best. He puts on one hell of a concert.
