In 2006, the Arctic Monkeys' album 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not' broke the record for the fastest selling debut in British history. It's that same quick-minded mentality behind the band's latest promotion, a performance stream that is available today only as an exclusive "Web Transmission" from the Arctic Monkey's website. The Web Transmission will give those fans who are quick on the draw a preview of material from the band's upcoming album, 'Humbug.' Meanwhile, folks can check out the video for the band's new single, 'Crying Lightning' at BabelGum.com. 'Humbug' will be released in the States on August 25.
Those who wish to see these new songs live won't have to wait too long; the Arctic Monkeys kick off a two month North American tour this weekend with a set at the All Points West festival in Liberty State Park, NJ. But time is against you right now -- stop reading and start streaming.
