Music Appreciation: Johnny Depp

Mr. Depp is one of the finest actors we currently have! did you see him in "The Ninth Gate".......?? off beat and polansky film?? he can play any part he puts his mind to!!

Saw Depp in Juno and one of his pirate flicks. Thought he was good. Then, he had to go and say that America was no place to raise his children. Now I have no use for him. Redford, either. Paltrow, either. You don't mind getting your load of money here, but you can make snide comments about our country and our people. Wouldn't spend one dime on any of you.

I recently met Miss Channing (during the day, at the shop where I work). She was COMPLETELY gracious and charming. I approached her, complimented her on her contributions to show business and happiness to people... she replied by shaking my hand, asking my name and thanking me (by name) for the compliments. She is a true star and very lovely person!

I think that Johnny Depp is an incredible actor and applaude his "going out of the box" as you say to play Carol Channing. I, also, feel he deserves more respect for his accomplishments.

I personally don't care who you wish to portray.
In the event that you come home and spend your wealth amongst the people, who paid the millions you've made, then maybe I would.

Why dont you people get off here and get a life!!

I LOVE Johnny Depp and would watch him perform in ANY movie. He is the most talented actor. I'm certain that he could play Carol Channing well and would get her persona down to a tee, but WHY does Carol Channing want Johnny Depp to play her? Why doesn't she want a female actress who looks more like her and would require less prosthetics to do the job? It would be interesting to see a side-by-side picture of Depp and Channing when she was the age that he is now. I don't see enough similarities in their present looks. While I can see how Depp would easily pull off the persona, the looks would be very challenging as they have NO similar features.

I don't care what character he plays!!!! he is smoking hot hot hot

Johnny Depp as Carol Channing? Why not? Meryl Streep is doing Julia Child. If she can do that, Depp could certainly do Channing.

Even if Johnny was pulling the reporters leg....I'd still love to see him in the role.
So he's either laughing his little heart out over this 'joke' or he's putting red lipstick on and practicing talking with that deep voice she had!
And, does anyone else hate those "ads" that run on all of these comment sites? Geez, they are annoying.
