While most people are wary of supergroups at this point, Fun are putting all of their energy into to music that sounds, well, fun. The group -- consisting of Nate Ruess (formerly of the Format), Andrew Dost (Anathallo) and Jack Antonoff (Steel Train) -- is going for a lush, fleshed out pop sound that's already giving us a little pick-me-up to kick off our Monday morning.'All the Pretty Girls' is a little slice of chamber pop featuring multi-vocal harmonies, violins and delightful array of handclaps. While the song might seem meticulously crafted, Nate Ruess insists the tune was a little spontaneous. "Andrew and I recorded 10 vocal tracks each for the harmonies," he tells Spinner. "Lyrics weren't written until the morning of the day I had to do vocals."

I thought the exact same thing. Very ELO, especially the backround vocals. I'm thinkin I should bust out my rollerskates.

I'm almost positive Aim & Ignite was partially planned to have a bit of a 70's feel to it.
I've heard the album already, it's amazing and over-the-top in all the best ways, and if you read up things about the band you'll understand why it is the way it is.
This is my favorite song on the record, the vocals are brilliant.

but actually, I could be thinking of a Format album trying to have that 70's feel, so don't quote me on that.

I love it. :)
I can hear the ELO-esque sound that people are talking about though.
