Michael Jackson Rehearsals May Make Film + More

A film of Michael Jackson's final concert rehearsals may be in the pipeline, after a deal between promoters AEG Live and Columbia Pictures. Nearly 100 hours of film were shot during rehearsals for the planned 50-date London residency.Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith has revealed details of his solo record, which will be released on September 15. 'Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats: Meet The Meatbats' is influenced by "so many of the groups that came out of England in the late '60s and early '70s," such as Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, Smith said.
David J of Bauhaus and Love and Rockets is to play two shows in Los Angeles where he'll be covering the likes of Nick Cave and Glasvegas.
BBC soap 'EastEnders' has extended an invitation for British rapper Dizzee Rascal to appear on the show. It follows Dizzee's comment to the Sun newspaper, "I could see myself on 'EastEnders' one day. They just need to offer me a role and I'm there."
