Santigold Covers the Cure at Lollapalooza

Santi White, aka Santigold, emerged to play her final show of her tour on Day Two of Lollapalooza after two long years on the road. "It's good to be home," she yelled to the packed Playstation stage crowd. "Let's get sweaty."

Of course everyone was already nice and sweaty from the unbearable heat and would only get sweatier. Santigold opened with her hit 'L.E.S Artistes' while an impromptu dance party formed on top of a scaffold near the edge of the audience area. About 20 fun-loving fans grinded to her tunes, much to the chagrin of security officials, who eventually busted it up. White plowed through 'Say Aha,' 'Lights Out' and 'Shove It' before she asked the crowd if they wanted to hear a cover. The cover in question? 'Killing an Arab' by the Cure. Everyone approved, even GZA, who Santigold said was watching in the wings.
