Disgraced Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich Impersonates Elvis

Former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich recently launched a website that provides details on how to book the disgraced politician for TV, radio and public speaking gigs. This has helped Blagojevich, who was arrested and removed from public office this past January for corruption charges including the attempted sale of President Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat, remain in the spotlight. Over the weekend, Chicago post-production firm Optimus, who in years past has locked in some lampoon acts like Mini Kiss and YouTube internet sensation Tay Zonday for their annual block party, brought the deposed Illinois governor to the stage, not to promote his forthcoming autobiography, 'The Governor,' but to show the crowd his vocal chops. With a Fabio lookalike in the background, Blagojevich, aka Blago, grabbed a mic and belted out Elvis Presley's 'Treat Me Nice,' flipping his collar up midway through the tune.
Blagojevich won't dish how much he got paid for the appearance but he swears the money will go to a charity for cancer patients. This comes from the man who told the hollering crowd that he was "wrongfully hijacked from office." He also reasoned, "I'm going to sing a song, because you can't vote against me anymore," before the performance, which you can watch after the jump.
