Casablancas Plans Solo 'Disney' Shows + More

The Strokes' Julian Casablancas plans to tour his forthcoming solo album 'Phrazes for the Young' and told the NME he wanted to "play some over-the-top, amazing, Disney shows."

Placebo's singer Brian Molko fainted onstage during the band's concert in Osaka, Japan on Monday. A message on the band's MySpace blamed the collapse on jet lag and a virus. Molko recovered after medical treatment.

Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty has been told to return to court in Gloucester in October to enter a plea over drink-driving charges. He was arrested on June 11 after police found him driving "erratically."

Supergrass offshoot Hot Rats has recorded a covers album. Singer Gaz Coombes and drummer Danny Goffey teamed up with Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich to cover songs by the Kinks, the Doors and the Beastie Boys. "There's an element of classic mix tape to it," Coombes told BBC 6 Music.
