Wolfmother, 'New Moon Rising' -- Song Premiere

Wolfmother's new single, 'New Moon Rising' (the first off the upcoming 'Cosmic Egg'), shows that frontman Andrew Stockdale and his new bandmates are in top form, continuing their exploration of classic-tinged psych-rock.

The song begins with Stockdale painting a portrait of hazardous surroundings over a heavy blues riff, and eventually telling the story of a boy who's "gotta get on that highway." Familiar territory sure, but anthemic nonetheless. 'Cosmic Egg' his proverbial shelves October 13. Meanwhile, listen to 'New Moon Rising' exclusively after the jump.

Really awsome I like the drums very much in this one! But in the 2nd half there is something wrong - there is too much distortion.

This is alright, but the drums are too pop sounding. Actually everything about it is pop sounding. Myles Heskett plays wayyy better than whoever this is. Still good, but the older stuff was better

It's amazing! Now it may not be the BEST song they have made, BUT it's new and sick. Deffinatley shoes potential for the new album and I'm sure its just the beginning, something leading up to something so good you didn't know even existed.
Wolfmother is AMAZING, always have and always will love them.

Bad audio quality? Back Round had bad audio! It was recorded in his home studio fcs. This is great quality, I love it.
