Back Injury Makes Lily Allen Cry in Concert

Whether it's discussing her miscarriage or making controversial statements about cocaine and religion, Lily Allen has never been one to shy away from speaking her peace. Still, many fans were surprised when the singer burst into tears during a performance in Finland Sunday night.

Unlike most musicians' in-concert breakdowns, Allen's wasn't a tantrum over sound quality or unruly fans but over an injury. As the Daily Mail reports, Allen was on painkillers after hurting her back, telling the crowd, "I feel a bit emotional tonight and if I cry it's not because of you but because of me."

She revealed the injury before the show on her Twitter page, writing "Fell over badly last night and I've really f---ed my back up. Just had an injection in my bum. How am I gonna get through tonight's gig?" A little later, she added, "This injection has made me well woooozy."

We have to give her credit, though. Not only did she brave the pain, she managed to wipe away the tears without making a dent in her thick glittery eyeliner. Unfortunately for Allen, it appears that bad things do, in fact, come in threes; she later revealed on Twitter that she lost her handbag Saturday night. Talk about a rough weekend.

The above link refers to this interview she did with Word Magazine, a British publication: http://www.wordmagazine.co.uk/content/money-drugs-trousers-what-did-lily-allen-and-mick-jagger-discuss-over-dinner

The lawsuit was in reference to a translation from an interview she did with a Dutch magazine: http://www.nme.com/news/nme/42792

As for the miscarriage comments, she said them in an interview with Spinner.

These are comments or stories according to Perez Hilton. The most hated website on the internet. Lily Allen filed and won a lawsuit against NEWS OF THE WORLD magazine. If you can't find it then it's because you don't want too. Information provided by the tabloids or any gossip blog website is always a contradiction to her actual words.

Nobody ever said that she received a cortisone shot - just that she got an injection and that she felt woozy.

You're quoting a tabloid magazine. Lily Allen does not speak to the tabloids.

Lily Allen has never spoken publicly about her miscarriage. She sued a tabloid magazine for writing that she encourages drug use. She wrote on her twitter page that those comments are false. It's not possible for Lily Allen to do cocaine because she has asthma (serious pulmonary complications would occur) And she wasn't on painkillers. She was given a shot of cortisone(steroid injection.) It enhances the production of natural cortisone in the body to reduce inflamed tissue in a specific area. It is in no way related to any painkiller. Get the facts straight!

"Lily Allen has never spoken publicly about her miscarriage."

Actually, yes she has -- did you click the link in the story?

"She sued a tabloid magazine for writing that she encourages drug use."

Don't see where anyone said that she encourages drug use? Are you reading a different story?

Unlikely Fan

Her genre of music has never really been my favorite, but after hearing some of her songs ill indeed say that she is a great artist/musician. And you can tell she flat out loves music and her fans. Hope she gets well soon. And doesnt get addicted to pain killers . lol.

Due to her sheer will ,determination, and profound affection for music she could endear the harrowing
experience with flying colours.
May god bless her.
