Liam Gallagher Slams Noel Over Solo Album Plans

The Cold War in the Oasis camp shows no sign of thawing just yet.

Weeks after Liam Gallagher's sour mood during the band's show at London's Roundhouse -- which brother Noel later wrote off on Twitter as the junior Gallagher's "man period" -- the Oasis singer has hit out at his big brother's plans for a solo album.

In an major interview with NME, Liam said: "Who knows, man, maybe he needs to go and do his solo record... f---ing hell, I don't know, I really don't know. If [doing a solo album] makes him happy, yeah, if it makes him happy. It would sound very civilised I reckon... [that's] a f---ing awful thing -- but maybe it's a good thing for him."

In the interview, Liam seemed less than impressed with his brother's plans to write a solo album instead of working with Oasis on their next record. "If it was up to me I'd have six months off and then get straight back in the studio and make records," he said. "That's what I'm in Oasis for. I'm not here to f---ing sit around for five years twiddling my thumbs."

He also declared the battling brothers no longer speak to each except via Twitter. "He doesn't like me and I don't like him, that's it. He hasn't told me what he thinks of anything this year. We've got nothing to say to each other at the moment. The only time I see him is onstage and we're a little bit busy (at) that time to be f---ing scratching each other."

The band, who released their eighth studio album 'Dig Out Your Soul' last year, wrap up a year-long world tour with headline sets at the V Festival in the U.K. this weekend.
