Phil Spector Terrified of His Fellow Inmates

Iconic pop producer Phil Spector has said he fears for his life while serving time in prison for the 2003 murder of actress Lana Clarkson. The Wall of Sound producer wrote a letter to a friend in which he detailed his distress at being in the same prison as cult leader Charles Manson.

In the letter he said he wanted to be transferred to "a better prison with people more like myself in it." Spector, 69, is currently being held at a medical facility within Corcoran State Prison in central California. He was sentenced to 19 years in prison in May for the second-degree murder of Clarkson.

In the letter, the producer also said he hoped an appeal for a transfer would be successful so he did not have to be with "all these lowlife scumbags, gangsters and Manson types" who would "kill you here for a 39-cent bag of soup."

He added that he had kept his spirits up thanks to his wife Rachelle, who made the 800-mile round trip from their home in Alhambra, Calif. to visit him two days a week. "She's a real trooper -- all in all, it's like a dream come true having her by my side again," he said.

Spector also noted that his wife brought him canned food so that he did not have to eat his meals in the canteen with the other prisoners. "I know it is a chance to get out of my cell going to the dining room but the less I see of the inmates, the better and safer I feel," he said.

The comments were made public by Spector's publicist, Hal Lifson.

I think about Lana Clarkson every day. Spector is a misogynist, psychopathic murderer. He whines about all the horrible murderers & animals in jail. Ahh, when you stick a gun in a woman's mouth & pull the trigger, what are you Phil? You're an animal & would hope you choke on a bowl of Top Ramen, but perfer you to rot for years in jail instead.

Im sorry, but aas far as that creepy, FREAK goes, I think even a bag of Ramen Noodles is still to good for him to have. For what he did, he is where he SHOULD be, and I hope the inmates treat him the way he treated others..ROTT IN HELL SPECTOR, "YOUR HALF WAY THERE"

Requirements for Parole:

#1.) Admit to your crime.

#2.) Show genuine remorse for your victim(s).

#3.) Attend several years of therapy/ counseling.

Above is the absolute minimum to be granted Parole in California.

He was NOT sentenced to 19 Years.

He was sentenced to LIFE !!

The "19 years" just means when his parole-hearing will occur for the 1st time, but it does NOT mean he will be granted parole at that very 1st hearing.

He will serve LIFE until he makes parole - IF he makes parole !!
