U2 have described their forthcoming musical based on comic book superhero Spider-man as "not a straight take on the myth." Bono told BBC Radio 1: "We've got a new villain, it's a girl. It's a very extraordinary role. We've taken it to a much more dizzy place than you'd expect. We've got big tunes. We're very proud of it."Jay-Z has roped in Kanye West, Rihanna and Empire of the Sun's Luke Steele on his new album 'The Blueprint 3'. A post on his website revealed the artwork and tracklisting for the record, due out Sept. 11.
The soundtrack to Spike Jonze's 'Where the Wild Things Are' is credited to Karen O and the Kids -- and the album hits stores two weeks before the film is released on Oct. 16.
Gomez, who won the 1998 Mercury Music Prize with their debut album, have said they now spend most of their time in the US because they are tired of the UK's music scene. Bassist Paul Blackburn told BBC 6 Music: "Instead of getting bitter about the British scene being very fast and fickle, we thought we'll not do that, we'll do something positive."
