Michael Jackson Movie Out in October

The film 'Michael Jackson: This Is It' -- the movie using footage of the final rehearsals for the pop star's planned run of 50 London concerts -- will have a limited two-week run in cinemas in October.

And Sony Pictures Entertainment has announced tickets will be available from Sept. 27, over a month before the film is shown on screens from Oct. 28.

The film will make use of the more than 80 hours of rehearsals footage shot ahead of the 50-date residency at London's O2 venue, which was supposed to begin in July. Jackson died of heart failure on June 25, aged 50.

"As we began assembling the footage for the motion picture we realised we captured something extraordinary, unique and very special," the film's director, Kenny Ortega, said."For the first time ever, fans will see Michael as they have never seen him before -- this great artist at work. It is raw, emotional, moving and powerful footage," he added.

Sony Pictures Entertainment are believed to have paid AEG Live -- the concert promoters behind the shows -- $60M for the rights to make a feature-length film out of the footage.

I have seen the Michael Jackson Movie, and I found it to be an EXCELLENT Movie, to be able to see the rehearsal of such a talented artist like Michael Jackson I think is an honor. When the movie first started all I could think of was his kids, so if you didn't like Michael Jackson then you should keep your opinions to your self for the sake of his kids, This is not about BASHING people and if it was then I am sure there is a site for people like you that would like to here what you have to say, and it would also indicate What kind of person you are, stop and think of the KIDS and not how you feel about Michael Jackson, you obviously don't have a heart . I also found the movie to be very touching and emotional for me, HE WAS THE KING and your BASHING will never change that, JEALOUSLY will get you nowhere. I will never forget Michael Jackson.

Why are you people so mean? I am 70 years old and so I ordered some books about Michael and his life and I do not believe he did anything to thoses children but help them. No Michael was not in my life time, Elvis was. But since Michael died I wanted to truely find out from doing some research of what Michael was like, with God's help I really got to know him. I have sinned in my life time and because I have sinned in my life time I can not judge no one. Are you people sin-less or just cold-hearted. Remember your day will come to and you will have to stand before God for what you have said and done in this life of yours. Have alittle repect for the dead.ShrlCp@aol.com

I think it's WONDERFUL! I'm looking forward to taking my children to see the footage of the GREATEST entertainer of all times. My children have never seen him live on stage before, it's OK if it's prerecorded we're going to have the best time ever. To the family and Sony, Thank you!

I am sick of hearing about Michael Jackson. I had a low opinion of him when alive, didn't like his music and his death doesn't change anything. There are many good singers that deserve more attention then he does. Muddy Waters for one.I am sick of everyone trying to whitewash his life. I feel sorry about the children. The people that raise them should be anyone who will do it without M. Jackson's money and teach them about God, keep them out of the public's eye. Just take care of them out of love. I wish the children the best.

@ROB, no I don't think it's a way for the family to make money off of it rather's its AEG who is hoping to make hte money. Jackson's will only get 40% of estate earnings. as far as greedy pigs, it must take one to know one
