    Music Appreciation: Hugh Grant

As popular as it is in the US heartland, country music isn't exactly America's top-selling musical export. Yet actor Hugh Grant may have smuggled some songs back to the UK with him after filming on location in New Mexico. "I like hillbilly [music]," he says. "Beat that for uncool." His British friends admittedly don't approve but have allowed for one obvious exception: Johnny Cash. "Apparently, he's OK," says Grant.

I have a simple rule about people and my music. If you like it, you have the right to say so. If you don't like it, you have the right to keep your mouth shut!

Ummm, yeah, I think.... I guess most music is OK. If it is music, with instruments, and not generated from a computer, and if the singer is actually singing and not rhyming to a repetative beat.

I have a simple rule about your music. If I can hear it outside your car, in a public place, or on my property it's too loud. Turn it down or I call the cops. Oh Yeah, by the way, I DO sign warrants and press charges.

Right on!! I love heavy metal, but I listen in my space and do not infringe on others. I wish others would do the same

Have to totally agree w/Mark....You have the right to listen to any genre of music you like, but not the right to impose it on others who may not share your kind of music...if that is what you want to call some of it.

He went back to the UK, and left Patsy Kline behind? I love classical and jazz ... but always have a place in my heart for Patsy!
