    Noel Gallagher Quits Oasis

Noel Gallagher quit Oasis on Friday, shortly after the band's canceled performance at Paris' Rock en Seine festival.

"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight," Noel wrote in a post on Oasisinet.com. "People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with [brother] Liam a day longer."

Festival organizers told the crowd that the last-minute cancellation was due to an "altercation." Oasis also canceled a concert last Sunday at Britain's V Festival in Britain, allegedly due to fighting between the brothers.

Ever since their first album those two have been arguing like spoiled brats. I hope the band is finished for good. I'm so sick of hearing about their petty arguing. Sadly I have to agree with IEATHEDGES (Nice Name). This "breakup" is probably going to last a hot second. The Gallaghers should quit being bitchy childish drama queens and grow up.

Good Riddance! They are a has been and have been for years. Out dated sound and two brothers who couln't get along. By the first of the year after much booze consumption he will reunite with the Has Beens again with there elevator music sound.

I wasn't sure they were still around? Anyway, Noel should have gone solo years ago, he's always been the talented one of the two brothers. He wrote all their good songs and could probably be even bigger without that drunk, egomanic of a brother. Liam is all show and abosolutely no substance. Besides, Noel can sing just as good even better than Liam. Maybe he'll finally have another hit cd.

first off, lets get our facts right...noel gallagher was NOT the oasis vocalist...liam was...although noel did sing on a few tunes...and he quit because he had had enough of his punk brother...liam's antics became too much for noel to put up with...and oasis will miss noel more than noel will miss oasis...noel wrote 95% of the oasis tunes, and 100% of the good ones.
