More details about the fracas between Liam and Noel Gallagher which led to the latter leaving Oasis on Friday have been made public, with British media reporting the argument began over the singer's drinking.Reports say Liam turned up drunk before the band were due to play the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, having taken a Eurostar train from England on his own. Noel accused his brother of being unprofessional and said he was disappointed his management and bandmates had not done more to prevent it.
"They say never work with children an animals. No one mentioned f---ing morons though, did they," Noel said to a friend, the Sun newspaper reported.
The paper said he then also criticised Liam's fashion sideline Pretty Green, saying: "I think all the modelling malarkey has gone to his head. It's a pleasure to give him time and space to work on his autumn/winter collection."
After Noel's walkout, Liam decamped to Lake Como in Italy with his wife Nicole Appleton and the band's bass player Andy Bell, while Noel returned to England.
Noel, as previously reported by Spinner, announced his problems with Liam were behind the split, and later apologised to fans in Paris, Koblenz, Milan and the Chelmsford leg of V Festival over shows cancelled because of the split.
The Mirror reported the band suffered an estimated £4.75m in lost earnings in the latest spat -- including appearance fees and merchandise they could have sold at the four gigs.
The Sun on Monday asked its readers who they backed in the split – and on Tuesday said 88% had come out in favour of Noel.
The band's chief songwriter is widely expected to begin work on a solo album.

It's about damn time (um, again). I was in seventh grade when Oasis first came out on the scene, and over the years I've continued to be besotted and amazed by Noel's talent as a songwriter. Liam... needs to get over himself. Liam is merely a voice -- and voices can be replaced. That Oasis have been around for as long as they have is undoubtedly a testament of Noel's skills and brilliance, and not because of his brother's antics. At any rate, I am totally looking forward to the solo album.
