Editors, Basement Jaxx Play Oxfam Store Gigs + more

Editors, Basement Jaxx, Fatboy Slim and Just Jack have all signed up to play gigs at a secret branch of Oxfam's charity shops in London over September and October to raise money for the charity. The 'Oxjam' gigs will have a capacity of only 150 people.Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke has admitted he didn't know Oasis had split for good when he jokingly told a Paris crowd the band had pulled out of their gig on Friday. "We were playing our set and my tour manager came up to me and said that Oasis had cancelled and we had to play for longer," he said.
Nick Cave will release an iPhone version of his new novel "The Death of Bunny Munro'. The phone-friendly version includes readings and music composed by the author. "Being a musician as well, I've been able to provide all sorts of other things to make it as interesting an experience as possible to read this book on the iPhone," Cave said.
The collaborative album between electronic musician Christian Fennesz and Sparklehorse mainman Mark Linkous is out now on iTunes ahead of a Sept. 14 CD release.
