I did decent for my Beatle age, but some of these questions I bet the Beatles couldn't answer. Grand old band, mate.

The Beatles remain the GREATEST band over the last 45 years and will continue to be so. Where will all these talentless boy/girl bands be in 45 years time? They will be more inferior . Even in post-Beatles time,John, Paul & George turned out some of the best songs in their own right. As for Ringo, he upset people in Liverpool for his comments. That's why I left him out. Though he made some ok songs, he couldn't hold a candle to the rest of the band.

Well. I did get them all correct but considering that I am 65 accounts for a lot and must admit I did get lucky on a few guesses. I distinctly remember George's remarks about the hippies in SanFrancisco and I certainly remember the Stones singing I want to be your man.

Interesting quiz & trivia, I like the photo of them playing that big stadium. Was that Shea Stadium? No wonder they could never hear themselves play, ha-ha..

I always enjoyed the Beatles Music. Interestingly enough, I grew up on a farm and we had no radio that picked up FM and I was abused with COuntry and Classical music on Vinyl. In 1973 I got a radio that Picked up FM and heard My Love DOes It Good by McCartney and wings and that set in motion a quest for that which I missed, I started to collect Beatle albums along with their solo albums. I enjoyed and still enjoy their music, but I missed a lot of history by growing up on a farm. The Beatles will always live on in those that appreciated their artistry.

At the risk of sounding too "establishment", which I most certainly am not, nor do I care to ever have my opinions described as, I must state that as a person who "lived through" (yes, I'm a "Baby-Boomer", born in 1953) the "British Invasion", I am hard pressed to think of any performer or group of any genre, who "took the world by storm" as did The Beatles! As the inscription reads on the monument in their hometown of Liverpool, England, they were "Four Lads who Shook the World"! They did so both figuratively as well as is literally possible; I am among the millions of Americans who made certain to be at home on that most memorable Sunday night in February 1964, to tune in to "The Ed Sullivan Show" for their American debut. The screams from the audience (mostly teenage girls) were so loud that throughout their performance, neither music nor lyrics were audible, or barely so! It's difficult to imagine that one big issue that people, in The US at least, were shocked over, was the length of their hair; it was considered to be long and inappropriate for men; that's certainly not the case in today's world!
While I honestly believe in the old saw, "The more things change, the more they stay the same", and that the music world has since given us an ample share of super stars, some being true talents while others extremely fortunate, over-confident examples of mediocrity, both The Beatles and the climate of that era (Beatlemania?, if you will), to my mind, have not been duplicated; Madonna and Michael Jackson come to mind as possible candidates for consideration, but it cannot be ignored that in the time that has lapsed since the 60's, technology, methods of communication and the virtual "ligheneing speed" with which such is accomplished, have drastically improved to the point that celebrities of today, in my opinion, are at much greater advantage when it comes to publicity and self-promotion! The somewhat more judgemental climate of the 1960's has thankfully changed (while not to a degree that would suit me) as compared with today, as has the innocence of that era; as a consequence, when making an equitable comparison, I feel that The Beatles still have the edge!
