Thom Yorke Announces Two New Singles

It seems every time the sun rises, a new Radiohead album or track might be available for download. On the heels of the recent one-off surprises, 'Harry Patch (In Memory Of)' and 'These Are My Twisted Words,' comes confirmation -- via a penned letter from frontman Thom Yorke himself -- of two semi-new, semi-solo releases.

First up is 'FeelingPulledApartbyHorses,' a single Yorke calls "a radical rework of an old tune" written by Jonny Greenwood that's the duo's been bouncing back and forth since about 2001. Next up is last week's music blog buzz track, 'The Hollow Earth,' originally thought to be Yorke's contribution to the forthcoming 'New Moon' soundtrack. According to him, the "bass menace" dates back to his 'Eraser' sessions and is seeing the light of day now because it just "needed a little more time."

Both songs have the stamp of approval from longtime producer Nigel Godrich and will be individually released as 12" vinyl singles on Sept. 21 via Radiohead's w.a.s.t.e store. If you prefer to hear a digital version, downloads will be popping up Oct. 6th "through the usual channels," according to Yorke.
