Though it's unclear exactly what kind of illegal antics they were involved in, members of the Phenomenal Handclap Band -- bags of cash in hand -- elude capture from the fuzz in their new video for '15 to 20.' The group's vintage disco-funk gets a '70s visual treatment as each band member avoids suspicious aviator-wearing types on the streets of New York City.Producer and songwriter Sean Marquand tells Spinner, "We shot everything separately and didn't really know what the other band members were up to until we saw a final cut." However, there's one aspect of the shoot that they all shared. "Everybody had a good time taking the various modes of transportation, but if it can be avoided, it's best not to shoot a video in this city in the dead of summer," he says. Moh Azima directs.
