Beatles Set to Top UK Album Charts + More

The Beatles are on course to top the UK album charts this week following Wednesday's release of the remastered versions of the band's albums. 'Abbey Road' is expected to reach number one, with 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band' in second place and 'Revolver' third.

Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien has hit out at the UK government's plans to suspend the internet accounts of people uploading copyrighted music. "It's going to start a war which they'll never win. It won't work. It's as simple as that."

Grinderman have finished work on their second album due, to hit stores in 2010. "It's very different from the first Grinderman album. There's an attitude in there that's similar, but sonically it's got some pretty weird things going on," Warren Ellis told NME.

Glastonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis has received an honorary degree from Buckinghamshire New University for his services to music.
