Reggae MC Matisyahu has been keeping a summer diary for Spinner while releasing his new album, 'Light.' In the final entry, Matis signs off but not before introducing his band members and songwriting partners, doing some clothes shopping and sharing a quick preview of the months to come. Hello to all Matisyahu family old and new. By now hopefully you've given the new record a few listens and are getting pulled into the words and music. Rob, Aaron, and I have been flying around the country playing acoustic shows and having a blast. The Shabbos team was reunited last weekend for a night of comedy and music at Smith College.
I'm also getting ready to head to Israel for the Hebrew month of Tishre and then we kick off the world tour in Jerusalem on Sukkot. Then to Europe and America and we're coming up with a way to outdo the disco dreidel from last year's Festival of Light. All I can say is I've heard talk of lasers and a menorah.
The final episode from this summer's "Road to Light" tour diary is in full effect. Meet some of the people I've been making music with and who contributed tremendously to the new record, Light. Have a great Fall everyone.
Blessings,
Matis
