Manic Street Preachers, 'William's Last Words' (Underworld Remix) -- Song Premiere
- Posted on Sep 15th 2009 11:15AM by Ashley Iasimone
Despite the disappearance of Manic Street Preachers' Richey Edwards in early 1995, his words live on. The remaining members of the band -- singer-guitarist James Dean Bradfield, bassist Nicky Wire and drummer Sean Moore -- were left with notebooks filled with Edwards' writings, which they've used to pen 'Journal for Plague Lovers,' the Manics' first album since 1994 to use solely Edwards' lyrics.Returning along with Edwards' work is electronic duo Underworld. Pre-ordered versions of 'Lovers' come with bonus remixes by a slew of handpicked artists, and the remix of 'William's Last Words' is Underworld's first in 10 years. The pair add a fittingly haunting feel to the original version of the track, which is sung by Wire.
Check out the song premiere exclusively on Spinner, and order the Manics' ninth studio album through their Website to get the rest of the remixes from Patrick Wolf, British Sea Power, the Horrors and more.

Sounds great. I've been dying for some new exciting Underworld tracks. Love the use of found sounds... reminds me a little of Beaucoup Fish.
