Kings of Convenience, 'Boat Behind' -- Video Premiere

Kings of ConvenienceWarning -- listening to Kings of Convenience's 'Boat Behind' might make you miss summer more than you already do. The new single, off their forthcoming 'Declaration of Dependence,' is an upbeat acoustic number that lends itself pretty well to lazy days and warm weather. Following this trend, the Norwegian duo embarks on the summertime tradition of the road trip, complete with a sing-a-long. The band also manages to pick up a few beautiful hitchhikers along the way, too, and they're more than just eye candy. "The video was made to promote the idea of hitchhiking," Eirik Bøe told us, "People tend to be more afraid of letting strangers into their car than they are of climate change."

The song's title also manages to get a nod as well, with the duo finally picking up a stranger who offers her boat, which goes pretty darn well with the surfboard in the trunk. So was the video as fun to make as it is to watch? "Of all our videos, past and present, this one was the most fun to make," Erlend Øye tells Spinner, "apart from when I had to hold on to that surf board for half an hour." Join the duo's road trip yourself by watching the exclusive video after the jump.
