Dizzee Rascal and Doves are among acts taking part in this year's Electric Proms, organised by the BBC. Smokey Robinson and Florence and the Machine will also take part. More acts are to be announced for the series, which takes place in October.Keane have finished two songs with Somali/Canadian rapper K'Naan which are expected to appear on a mini-album next year.
The Stereophonics are to play their only London show of the year at Camden's Electric Ballroom on Sept. 21.
Punk legend Iggy Pop is to receive a lifetime award at the Marshall Classic Rock Roll of Honour later this year in London. Previous recipients include Ozzy Osbourne, Jimmy Page and Alice Cooper. The award will be handed to the Stooges singer on Nov. 2.
