When he's not busy building an extension to his VMA moonman trophy rack, Billie Joe Armstrong uses his rock star status to help save the environment. In a YouTube video released by the Green Day frontman with help from the Natural Resources Defense Council, Armstrong warns viewers of our planet's dire climate crisis and encourages people to take action by visiting www.greendaynrdc.com. Those who want to help spread the word are invited to make their own video, and the creators of the five best will win a pair of drumsticks used by Tre Cool on tour. Check out Armstrong's video after the jump.
