Ryan Adams Responds to Courtney Love's Repeated Attacks

After more than a year of online goading, Ryan Adams just got around to hitting back at Courtney Love. Adams released a statement in response to Love's MySpace blog blasts and Twitter taunts, suggesting that she is confusing him with producer Jim Barber.

"I have never had any romantic, personal or financial involvement with Courtney Love," Adams insisted in a statement to Gawker. "She is confusing me with her ex, who produced my 'Rock n Roll' record, which was financed solely by Universal Music."

Love has chastised Adams in a number of Internet rants in the past year, suggesting he borrowed money from her that he never paid back. She even suggested that the two briefly dated and insulted Adams' wife, Mandy Moore. Adams, who's no stranger to bizarre behavior, is seemingly at his wits end. After Love posted a recent tweet where she referred to newlywed Adams as her "ex-boyfriend", the 'Gold' rocker clearly had enough and released the brief statement.

Though Courtney's got plenty on her mind, what with Guitar Hero and her financial troubles, we can see this escalating even further.
