Ian Brown Wants to Finish Rihanna Track + More

Former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown has said he wants to finish the track from his forthcoming album 'My Way' originally intended for Rihanna. "I'd like to write songs for other people, I'd like to finish that 'Stellify' for Rihanna, and I would like to get into that side of it."Editors, Florence and the Machine and the Maccabees are taking part in a series of London gigs in November in aid of the mental health charity Mencap. All the gigs will take place at the historic Union Chapel in Islington.
Historic blue plaques have been added to two buildings used by Joy Division and DJ John Peel in Rochdale, Lancashire. The unveilings were overseen by former Joy Division/New Order bassist Peter Hook.
Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti is having the bulk of his hard-to-find back catalogue re-issued in the US. Knitting Factory Records is re-releasing 45 of his records from Oct. 27.
