U2 Unveil 2010 European Stadium Dates

The work of a stadium band is never done. As U2's 360° played Giants Stadium in New York earlier this week, the band have announced a string of dates for next year.

The tour will resume -- as far as the dates announced so far on the band's website show us -- next August for another jaunt around Europe.

"European fans who missed out in 2009 will have a new opportunity to experience the U2 360° Tour extravaganza with stops confirmed in Germany, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Austria, Greece, Turkey, France, Spain and Portugal," the band's site said.

The tour includes U2's first Russian gig, with a concert at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on Aug. 25, as well as their Turkish debut at Istanbul's Ataturk Stadium on Sept. 6. The tour is to support the band's most recent album, 'No Line on the Horizon,' which was released earlier this year.

The itinerary also includes shows in some less well-known European centres, such as Horsens in Denmark and Coimbre in Portugal.

No dates earlier than August have appeared online yet. Could Bono and the gang be planning some shows at European festivals, or a further trawl through the US?
