Tiësto feat. Emily Haines, 'Knock You Out' -- Song Premiere
- Posted on Sep 28th 2009 1:00PM by Benjy Eisen
After catching Tiësto's set in Ibiza last summer, Metric's Emily Haines accepted an invitation from the international dance DJ to collaborate on a track for his new album, 'Kaleidoscope.' The disc also features collaborations with Tegan and Sara, Nelly Furtado and Jonsi Birgisson from Sigur Ros. "I am a huge fan of Metric and working with Emily was great. She is incredibly talented and very easy to work with, and also knows and loves electronic music," Tiësto tells Spinner. "The hardest thing initially was to get those kind of people to collaborate. They don't work with dance artists as a rule, and especially not a dance DJ, but when we started producing these tracks, I was surprised at how well the styles work together."
He's not alone in that one. The track with Haines, 'Knock You Out,' puts a Metric face on the robotic body of a club track. Check it out here before 'Kaleidoscope' is released on Oct. 6.

I love how Tiesto manages to capture the style of any artist aswell as still putting his spin on the song. I love Emily Haines and think this song is amazing.
