Matisyahu doesn't look or act like your typical reggae musician, and needless to say, he's probably been thrown some interesting interview questions in the past. In the following clip, however, he's pitted against his toughest interviewer yet -- himself. Watch as the Hasidic reggae star takes questions from his ignoramus alter ego about Twitter, graphic lyrics and, of course, his beard. If this all doesn't seem bizarre enough, consider that that it all takes place on a beach (of sorts). Have a look after the jump.
I've become WoWed, This Man with sound, can act!!! Connects the Sects, leaves Us Blessed, and then overflows with good humor. Keepin' in The Ways of His Majesty, like Father Like Son. Proud, to call you Brother!!! Keep it comin'! Peace!
I have been in awe of you from the beginning. I missed seeing you in Detroit and that is were I am from. When I think of you, I think of Bob Marley, because he sent out the same messages. I know, because I come from his generation. I see and feel things so much clearer, I dedicate my work with a Chabad Rabbi from New York. You hit all generations, and with the Lubavitch Rabbi's here in Michigan, they do a event every summer at the Rock Diamond Showplace and would love for you to connect me with your booking agent. This is something I told my Rabbi, I would try. These events are amazing....You feel the sparks exploding. Two years back we flew out the Chief Rabbi of Isreal to speak, and then we had the entertainment portion. I do wish you see this...and hopefully One Day all of us will hear you. You humble me.
