Grizzly Bear Devour Candy Onstage at Austin City Limits

Grizzly Bears, the animals, are known for their appetites and willingness to go scavenging for food when pickings are slim. And an audience member at Grizzly Bear's Saturday afternoon set at Austin City Limits must've taken their name a little too literally, decided to toss some food up onstage. While it's no secret that adoring fans will go the distance by throwing up flowers, underwear and love letters, lead singer Ed Droste got something a little different. After a long and winding version of 'Southern Point,' Droste bent over and picked something up off the ground: a Tootsie Roll. "I'm going to eat this," he said with a smile. "Thank you." He then proceeded to unwrap and chomp away, quickly, as they were about to dip into 'Little Brother.'
While Droste and company were enjoying onstage candy, the massive crowd that showed up for them were enjoying a steady stream of rain for a duration of the band's set. Strong versions of 'Two Weeks' and 'Knife' seemed to start up right when the rain really started to come down.
Grizzly Bear are currently in the midst of a fall tour in support of 'Veckatimist,' which was released this past May.
