Land of Talk, 'Troubled' -- Video Premiere

Land of Talk frontwoman Lizzie Powell does some soul searching in her band's latest video for 'Troubled,' directed by bandmate bassist Joseph Yarmush. The clip features Powell trekking through the Appalachian foothills of southeast Quebec, the lush forest scenery and slow-motion waves providing poetic visual accompaniment to the band's wistful ballad.

The raw emotion in the video spawned from the writing of the tune, which was an organic process for the Canadian indie rockers. "The songs were quite lacking of any structure, dynamic, direction," Powell tells Spinner. "I had no lyrics whatsoever going into the session so most of the lyrics were written on the spot." That vulnerability is tangible in the stark acoustic tune, and it comes across beautifully in the video. Have a look after the jump.
