Lego Rock Band Unveils David Bowie Avatar

Just when we thought the world of miniature building bricks couldn't be improved -- after Lego Rock Band unveiled a plastic Iggy Pop -- comes news of another toy box avatar that will have us reaching for our controllers.

A 'Let's Dance'-era David Bowie -- complete with yellow quiff, braces for his trousers and rakishly undone bow tie seen in the video for the song -- even includes Bowie's famously mismatched eye colouring.

The game, which is expected to be released at the end of the year on consoles such as the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, will feature some 25 songs, including Foo Fighters' 'Breakout,' Tom Petty's 'Free Fallin'' and Vampire Weekend's 'A-Punk'.

This, of course, raises the prospect of a Lego Tom Petty. Is there anything more exciting?
