Bono Makes Tory Party Conference Appearance + More

U2's Bono made a video appearance at the speech by Conservative Party leader David Cameron in Manchester. He praised the Conservatives for pledging to maintain the UK's aid to developing countries.

The company which runs the Reading Festival has been fined £4,000 ($6,400) for health and safety violations during the 2006 festival. Two men were hurt when a crane ran into power lines during preparations for the festival.

Noah and the Whale promise their third album will be "more sophisticated." Frontman Charlie Fink told B.B.C. 6 Music: "I want to do some rock stuff on this record because I want to do it whilst we're all young and rocking."

London's O2 has been chosen as the world's most popular music venue, according to music trackers Pollstar. It has sold more than 1.5m tickets in the first nine months of the year.
