Coldplay Frontman Is 'Absolutely Ripped'

Quite apart from being one of the richest, most successful rock frontman on the planet, Chris Martin has another reason to smile, apparently -- a yoga-toned body.

The director of Coldplay's video to recent single 'Strawberry Swing' told B.B.C. 6 Music as much after winning three awards for the video at the UK Music Video Awards.

Kenny, from the video makers Shynola, said he had been worried the Coldplay singer may not have been able to put up with the physically demanding shoot, having tested out some of the poses Martin would have to do.

The video features Martin flying to the rescue of a shrieking damsel dressed as a superhero.

The director said: "Chris Martin is incredibly fit, he's absolutely ripped. I'm sure he won't mind me saying that.

"He could do everything really well. He does loads of yoga and we had lots of bits where he was on a trolley and it was physically really difficult for him."

He added: "I did it for about 10 seconds as a test and after that my hips were hurting so much I just felt incredibly old. After that I thought, 'We are either gonna kill him, or we're going to get sued'," he said.

Boring.ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. What is the appeal of Coldplay, anyway? The video seem targeted to imbeciles, the music is simplistic and uninspired.Chris should be holding up the letter D (for Dumb) and Sesame Street could use it in their alphabet song.....

that was the worst video ever. the song sucks, the video sucks. He makes enough money to hire someone to make a decent video. Please, that is stupid and I bet the rest of Coldplay loves not even being in the video. Hated it...

You would think they could have used lighting that eliminates the shadows of him on the "FLOOR" during production. He did all that toning so he could "look" like he is slithering on the floor.
Good job there video production team!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dorks....

Looks like something a 3rd grader would come up with. Most of todays "Music Videos" suck. A few words come to mind on this video... Foolish, immature, weird. I guess they let anyone do this kind of work. Who in the hell would put their stamp of approval on this crap!!
