Arctic Monkeys, 'Cornerstone' -- Video

The new Arctic Monkeys video is very much short on explosions, speedboat chases, choreographed dance routines, ranks of supermodels or death-defying stunts. It's none the poorer for it.

Chief Monkey Alex Turner stars in the promo for 'Cornerstone', with supporting roles from an old-school cassette player, a pair of chunky headphones and a rather fetching jumper, red of hue.

Directed by IT Crowd star Richard Ayoyade (who already directed the 'Fluorescent Adolescent' and 'Crying Lightning' videos) the clip sees the long-haired turning crooning the song in front of a plain white wall with little more than a comically poker face to keep your attention.
