The Streets Call for Nudity at Treasure Island Music Festival

While frontman and master of ceremonies Mike Skinner is known for leading the Streets through attitude-drenched performances, for the group's set at San Francisco's Treasure Island Music Festival on Saturday, Skinner chose to draw upon the city's history of peace, love and music.

"You guys all have such fashionable clothes," he told the audience. "You're all so well dressed." Explaining that he wears all black because he's on tour, doesn't change and needs something that hides dirt, he then took his compliment in the other direction: "You all look so good in your clothes but you'd also look so good without them, I bet. It's the double-sided coin of San Francisco."

Running through loose renditions of tracks from 2008's 'Everything Is Borrowed,' Skinner continued to encourage the audience to strip naked, although it looked as though nobody actually obliged. He even joked about jumping into the nonexistent mosh-pit, saying, "I'm going to get in there and make love to all of you instead."

Okay, who rolled the MC? Failing to make good on his promise, Skinner nonetheless pleased the crowd by flowing effortlessly into "Dry Your Eyes."

We're happy to report that there were no naked wizards tazed at Treasure Island this year. So far, anyway.
