Blur Join Racks of Lego Rock Stars

Here at Spinner Towers, we take an unashamedly positive view of 'Lego Rock Band.' After all, what more fun can you have than playing along to you favourite songs than if those behind them have been immortalised in plastic, fit-together form?

Hot on the heels of the news players being able to choose a Lego David Bowie, comes news the worlds of Britpop and educational toys have taken that important step closer -- Blur have also been created in Lego form.

While we salute the fact you'll be able to watch a petroleum product-derived Damon Albarn leap realistically whilst singing 'Song 2,' the Lego Blur frontman appears to have only a passing resemblance to the real deal.

While we're on the subject, drummer Dave Rowntree appears to have inherited blond hair rather than his trademark ginger cut, while the Graham Coxon model would pass without further comment as a brick-based Harry Potter.

However, kudos must go to the designer of the Lego Alex James. It could double as the bass player's passport photo.

Apart from Blur and Bowie, a Lego Iggy Pop has also been unveiled as a playable character in the game, which will be released in November.
