Franz Ferdinand played a secret afternoon acoustic gig in Manchester on Saturday at Mrs Boon's Tea Party at The Ruby Lounge.Bloc Party's drummer Matt Tong says the band's future is uncertain after recent news they were taking a long break. He told B.B.C. 6 Music: "We definitely need to have a break and gain a bit of perspective on life outside of the band."
Editors notched up another number one in the UK album charts with their third album 'In This Light and On this Evening' on Sunday.
The Maccabees were joined by a host of Malawian dancers as they played their set at the Lake of Stars festival in Malawi on the weekend.
