UK music chain HMV is to set up "pop up shops" in the run-up to Christmas. The 10 to 15 temporary stores are likely to be on the sites of former branches of defunct chains Zavvi and Woolworths.
Independent musicians such as Dizzee Rascal and Travis have reached a deal with YouTube over use of music videos. The video-sharing site has reached an agreement with independent distributor PIAS, which represents 200 labels.
