Johnny Depp has made no secret of his love for Britpop-era band Baby Bird -- the group behind the mid-'90s radio standard 'You're Gorgeous' -- but it seems this time the film star really does intend to put his money where his mouth is.Reports from the British press hint that the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor may take to the stage when the band play a date in London next month.
British papers the Sun and the Guardian have reported that the 46-year-old star is set to play with Baby Bird at the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen in London on Nov. 12. Only 450 of Depp's millions of adoring fans will be allowed in as that's the venue's max capacity.
Depp was recently unveiled as the director for the group's video for their new single, which will be on their forthcoming fifth album 'Ex-Maniac,' which is expected to be out in 2010. Depp also has a guest appearance in the video.
If you've got tickets to the show, expect to have to fight your way past a crush of people who couldn't differentiate 'Bad Man's from 'The F-Word.'

A truly gifted actor; but have you ever seen him being interviewed??? I've watched three interviews with this man, and in all three he was utterly boring and wholly vacuous....as if nothing of note ever entered his head. How does that work then???

i once bumped into johnyy depp whilst he had his baby daughter with him at a fairground, i was half drunk and didnt realise who he was, he laughed with me and friends, played a few fairground games and accepted the crappy gifts we won for his little girl, only as he left did we realise who he was, he was a gent and very pleasant and funny. not at all vacuous, maybe he gets sick of saying the same things over and over, a very pleasant man and good luck to him with his music ( although i did watch sweeney todd!!)
